Bruce Snider
Bass Guitar/VocalsHome Town - Cherry ValleyMy first guitar was given to me by my Grandma Snider when I was in high school. After one night playing in a 3-piece Rock Band I realized Country Music was for me. For about five years I played bass guitar for “Dorothy C. Nobel and Blue Country” out of Marmora area. When I moved to the ‘County’ in 1984, I joined up with Ralph Forrester and Willie Walker as the “County Classics” playing many venues for seven years. Willie and I moved on to “Billie, Willie and the Boys” with Bill Ostrander, due to ill health of Ralph. Changes in the Band led to “Black River Country” with Willie,Tony, Mike and me making a CD in the spring of 2004 entitled “end of the line”. The sad passing of Willie Walker in 2006 ended 16 years of playing with a fine friend, great musician and mentor. In April of 2007 Grampa’s Goodtime Gang asked me to fill in for Dawson Powers on Bass. Unfortunately health problems has kept him from playing for two years. It’s my privilege to play with the great musicians in Grampa’s Goodtime Gang. They enjoy having a good time while performing old favourites. |
